Unlike most freight forwarders and consolidators whom merely
“book the ship” and solicit a myriad of vendors for lowest
price for logistics such as transport to the port, cradle
building, shrink wrapping, etc…SDM personnel perform all
prep functions or work along side our few selected
affiliates when specialist sub-contractors are required. We
not only deliver the vessel to the ship, but most often load
and lash it as well; whereas most exporters rely on the
port’s dock workers and stevedores. The same SDM personnel
can even meet the ship at its destination to make sure the
unloading, delivery, and assembly goes just as smooth. Use
careful consideration when selecting a yacht exporter and
examine quotes & estimates in detail; unmentioned
destination terminal/handling fees, substandard cradles, or
poor preparation can cost considerable in damage, time,
money and grief.
